Billions of dollars are spent annually on cosmetics. You can make your own skin moisturizer with honey and a few ingredients from your kitchen. Honey naturally attracts and retains moisture. It is a natural source of energy and antioxidants. For centuries, it has been used to moisturize skin without any additives or preservatives. The following facial moisturizer can be whipped up in seconds.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 2 tbs. honey
  • 2 tbs. plain yogurt
  • Whisk
  • Small (microwave safe) bowl

Step1
Pour honey in bowl. Warm honey for 15 seconds in microwave oven.
Step2
Add yogurt to honey and whisk together.
Step3
Apply to face (not the eyes). Leave on for 10 minutes.
Step4
Remove with warm towel with warm water.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you are allergic to honey or milk products; do not use.
  • Do not use on infant children (under one year of age). Honey may carry C. botulinum spores that may be harmful to babies’ immune systems.
