How to Make an F Cord

This is one basic cord that any beginner can learn to play on the guitar. It's called the 'F' cord

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

• Guitar

1. Study the pictures on this page.
2. Try and place your fingers on the guitar as shown in the diagram located in the top left hand corner of the page.
3. Strum each string individually, and adjust your fingers until all the strings make a clear sound.

Tips & Warnings

• It takes patience to learn, but hang in there you will get it.
• Adjusting the position of your hand and thumb on the back of the neck of the guitar can help you reach and make different cords better.
