Keep a Pine Wreath Fresh
Keep a Pine Wreath Fresh

Pine wreaths make a glorious addition to your holiday decor. Follow these steps to keep your wreath looking great throughout the season.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Choose the freshest looking wreath you can find. Wreaths that already have dried needles on them will not last very long.

  2. Step 2

Choose a good location for your pine wreath. Cool locations will keep your wreath looking fresh longer. Outside is the best place for your wreath but if you want it to be indoors, choose an area away from any heat source.

  3. Step 3

Do not put a pine wreath in between a storm door and another door. The sun allows heat to become trapped in between these doors causing a greenhouse effect that will quickly kill your wreath.

  4. Step 4

Before hanging your pine wreath give it a coating with aerosol hair spray. Hair spray will help keep moisture inside of the needles and prolong the life of the wreath.

Tips & Warnings
  • Do not hang lights on a wreath as these will heat up the needles and dry them out. Also keep the wreath out of direct sunlight.
