How to Shop in Cincinnati

Cincinnati, the "Queen City," combines modern shopping malls with interesting, one-of-a-kind neighborhoods, filled with antique shops, boutiques and funky stores. The region is also home to a number of outlet stores. No matter what you are seeking, you're likely to find it in Cincinnati.

1. Go to the mall. Cincinnati offers several traditional malls as well as newer, mixed use facilities. Among the most popular are Anderson Town Centre, located north of town in Anderson Township. Deerfield Town Centre in Mason, Ohio, and Tower Place Mall in downtown Cincinnati.
2. Explore the outlet stores. Cincinnati Mills, located on the city's north side, is home to over 50 outlet retailers. Among them are favorites such as Jones New York, Guess Company Store, Off Fifth Saks Fifth Avenue and Nine West Outlet.
3. Cross the river into Newport. Across the Ohio River from Cincinnati, Newport, Kentucky offers additional shopping opportunities. Among these is the large entertainment and shopping complex, Newport on the Levee. Located directly across from downtown Cincinnati, it offers all of the most popular retailers as well as several restaurants and a 20-screen movie theater.
4. Stroll through Mt. Adams. Mt. Adams, located on one of the seven hills that overlook the Ohio River, is one of the city's most interesting neighborhoods. Originally developed in the 19th century by German immigrants, today the area is filled with restored townhouses, art galleries and unique gift stores.
5. Shop for food at the Findlay Market. The Findlay Market, in Cincinnati's "Over-the-Rhine" neighborhood, is the oldest continuously operating food market in Ohio. Begun in 1852, the market is now open Wednesdays through Sundays and offers a variety of fresh produce, dairy products, meats and even fresh flowers.
