Meeting your soul mate is an unusual and exciting experience. By taking a few simple steps, you will be able to determine whether your soul mate works a few cubicles over.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Trust your gut. Sometimes you can spot a soul mate without even talking to that person. If there is someone who attracts you for some reason you can't put your finger on, talk to that person. At the very least, you might meet a new work friend.

  2. Step 2

Talk to everyone and anyone at work. The only way to meet a soul mate is to have spoken to her first. You might discover that your soul mate isn't someone you expected, so make sure you strike up conversations with everyone.

  3. Step 3

Get interested. Once you find someone with whom you seem to click, start spending time with him. Ask that person to lunch. As you build a relationship with that person, you will be able to see whether or not he is a soul mate.

  4. Step 4

Continue to deepen your relationship with that person. Start inviting her over for dinner. As you two become closer, it will be easy to tell if you are soul mates or just good friends.

  5. Step 5

Test the waters. If you feel that you have a close connection with your friend or lover, consider asking them what his or her feelings are about soul mates. With luck, that topic will end in a shared belief that you two were meant to be.

Tips & Warnings
  • Soul mates aren't always lovers. Sometimes a soul mate can be a person of the same sex (if you aren't gay) or someone you're not sexually attracted to.
  • Accept that your soul mate might not be at work. It's very unusual to meet someone that your soul clicks with at your workplace. If you don't find your soul mate there, consider searching for your soul mate out in the rest of the world.
  • Be careful about declaring someone a soul mate if they already have a girlfriend or husband. Their significant other might not take too kindly to your close relationship.
  • Beware of your co-workers' reactions. They might start gossiping about your new friendship. The best way to stop that from happening is to keep up your relationships with them by continuing to hang out and have lunch together.
