You've finally landed a date with that person you've been itching to go out with. Now you've got some preparing to do. Preparing for a hot date involves a lot more than finding the right outfit or picking the ideal location. Taking the right steps to prepare for your hot date can be fun, and you'll end up having a better time in the end.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Examine your past relationships and dating situations carefully. Uncovering the patterns that tend to emerge will help you understand any unfounded expectations you will have on your date.

  2. Step 2

Prepare your date outfit in advance. Your outfit should show off your best physical features, feel comfortable and be free from any rips or stains.

  3. Step 3

Practice good hygiene before your date. Make sure your hair, skin, nails and breath are clean and healthy.

  4. Step 4

Check your attitude. Think positive thoughts about yourself and expect the date to go well. When you feel good about yourself, you're more likely to have a good time and get a second date.

  5. Step 5

Decide what you are willing or not willing to do physically with your date. Since the range of options includes everything from a chaste kiss on the cheek to wild sex, many people find it helpful to know ahead of time how much physical intimacy they are willing to engage in. More importantly, be firm and unwavering to your date about the boundaries you have set up for yourself.

  6. Step 6

Be on time. Make sure you allow plenty of time for you to meet your date, whether she is meeting you in a public place or he is picking you up at your door.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you already know your date or have gone out with him before, try to recall past conversations so you can follow up with what he's been doing since you two last talked.
  • If you start to get nervous before your hot date, call a good friend for moral support. You can also turn on some positive, calm music to settle your nerves.
  • Do not overdo the perfume or cologne, whether you're male or female. Your hot date could be allergic to your fragrance or you could end up having an overpowering smell.
  • Women should avoid excessive makeup when out on a hot date. Makeup should accentuate your best features and minimize your flaws, not make you look unnatural.
  • If you and your date will be traveling by car, pick a designated driver in case there will be drinking.
