Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- Portable MP3 player or iPod
Step1
Determine the format of your computer downloads based upon your portable player, whether it is an MP3 player, an iPod or even just your laptop computer.
Step2
Use a file sharing site on the Internet that offers the type of Latina music you like the most. Most music download sites feature specific categories for music such as Latin Jazz, Tropicalismo, Salsa, Habanera, Tejano, Norteno, Mariachi, Mambo, Nueva Trova, Merengue, Reggaeton and other types of traditional or cultural music. Modern hybrids of pop and rap can also be located on most Latina music sites.
Step3
Use the music service on your existing ISP if you just wish to download Latina music onto your home computer or laptop while you are working or surfing the Internet. For instance, AOL users can get free downloads using the AOL Music function on their toolbars (see Resources below).
Step4
Visit the Apple iTunes website in order to download Latina music if you are using an iPod (see Resources below). Use the search field on the main page to locate Latina music by artist or by musical style. Downloads are available for a small fee, or you can purchase a gift card and download several Latina music selections at once.
Step5
Utilize other music download sites on the Internet, such as Latin Pulse Music, in order to download Latina music onto your portable MP3 player (see Resources below). These sites often cater specifically to Latin music fans and often contain downloads that are not available on more mainstream download sites.
