How to Do Bikini Line With Sugaring
Summer is the time to get your bikini line in shape for the bathing-suit season. You want to look your sleek best at the beach, whether you're a man or a woman. Shaving the bikini line never seems to provide the results necessary for an excellent swimsuit appearance, as it leaves visible stubble. Removing hair with wax is expensive, and hair-dissolving creams can be irritating to the skin. The ancient art of body sugaring, however, can do wonders by providing the smooth results you want for pennies on the dollar. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Eyebrow pencil in a dark color
- Jar of body sugaring
- Tongue depressor or wooden spoon
- Two strips of cotton fabric of equal size
Instructions
-
-
1
Use a dark eyebrow pencil to mark the part of your bikini line you would like to remove.
-
2
Dip a tongue depressor or wooden spoon into a slightly warm jar of body sugaring, removing just enough to completely cover the hair you'll be removing.
-
-
3
Coat the area on the outside of the eyebrow pencil marks with body sugaring. The body sugaring layer you apply should be neither too thick nor too thin. If necessary, you can apply more sugaring with the tongue depressor to cover up all the hair.
-
4
Take two of the cotton strips and press them soundly over the layers of body sugaring on either side of your bikini area. One strip should go over one side and the other strip will cover the other side.
-
5
Rip off the cotton strips, one at a time, going in the opposite direction of the hair growth. Do this as quickly as possible. If any hair remains, repeat the sugaring process.

Tips & Warnings
Heat your jar of body sugaring by removing the lid and placing the jar in a microwave, on 50-percent power, for 1 minute. Do be sure to let the mixture cool to a comfortable temperature before applying it to the delicate skin of your bikini line.
If your body sugaring jar is made of plastic, never put it in the microwave. It could melt. Instead, warm the sugaring by placing the jar in a small pot. Add water to the pot until the top of the water touches the bottom of the jar's lid. Then, heat the water over a low temperature on your stove top, until the sugaring becomes pliable while remaining thick. Allow it to cool to a slightly warm temperature before applying it to your body.
