Every woman knows the horror of having a few pubic hairs escape a bathing suit. Now, you just have to get over the fear of pain and do it.

    Instructions

      • 1

Trim your pubic hair down to 1/4 inch. If it is slightly longer, that will work, but the wax might not grab anything shorter. It is best to avoid shaving for a few weeks before you wax.

      • 2

Prepare the area to be waxed by carefully washing and drying it. You may wish to apply some numbing cream or gel to help alleviate some of the pain. Ibuprofen or other over-the-counter pain pill may also help.

      • 3

Work in small sections. The more profuse your pubic hair is, the more actual hair you will be ripping out from the roots. To keep the pain manageable, apply the wax to small areas, focusing on quality rather than quantity.

      • 4

Apply warm wax and smooth a cloth strip onto it immediately. Wait a few seconds, then quickly pull the cloth and wax off your skin in the opposite way of hair growth. You should be pulling the hair out with each pull. If hair is not coming off on the wax, try pulling in a different direction.

      • 5

Remove excess wax from skin by applying new wax over old wax, smoothing and pulling off with strip. This works especially well if the old wax has become brittle for any reason.

      • 6

Continue to remove hair until your pubic hair is in the desired shape. You may have to go over the same area a couple of times to completely remove hair. If there are any strays, just grab them with tweezers.

      • 7

Clean the area after you are finished waxing with an alcohol-free astringent. Alcohol stings, so use only mild soap and lotions.

      • 8

Repeat in 3 to 6 weeks. Hair grows at different speeds on everyone, so the amount of time between waxing will vary. You will need to wait until hair is almost 1/4 inch long before you wax again.

    Tips & Warnings

    • Decide how much pubic hair you want to wax off before you start. It is just as acceptable to go completely bare, as it is to just do the sides.

    • Consider shaping your pubic hair into a racy shape to surprise your significant other. Hearts and lightening bolts are popular, but use your imagination.
