Step 1
Cooking classes come in many different forms. If you don’t know your spatula from a whisk, you should enroll in a beginning cooking class. This class will teach you how to find your way around a kitchen, as well as teach you the basics of meal preparation. Beginning cooking classes focus on things such as salad preparations, how to make soups and basic veggie dishes, how to cook pasta properly, how to pick, handle and cook meat safely and you will probably be introduced to the wonderful world of eggs.

Step 2
Once you conquer basic meal preparation you can go on to other, more advanced cooking classes.
A favorite cooking class for many people is one that teaches you how to make desserts. How would you like to learn how to make apple pie, peach cobbler, a chocolate fudge cake or scrumptious chocolate chip cookies? If that sounds like something you would like to do, look around for a class. There are many dessert cooking classes that can be found around major holidays such as the 4th of July and Christmas. -
Step 3
If cooking on the grill is more your speed, you can take a BBQ class. No, you won’t be lathering sauce on everything, but you will probably be introduced to some tasty, finger licking foods like BBQ ribs or chicken. BBQ cooking classes will also teach you how to cook steaks to different degrees, how to cook veggies like corn on the cob and potatoes on the grill, as well as how to make the perfect grilled hamburger. Yum!

Step 4
Whether you are a beginning cook or a pro in the kitchen, cooking classes come in so many shapes and sizes that there is sure to be one that will interest you. Why not join up with a few friends and go together? Then you can take turns cooking for each other. Now, that sounds like a win-win situation!
