How to Change Your Verizon Home Voicemail Greeting on Your Landline Phone
The computer voice is fine, but wouldn't your callers rather hear your voice on your home voice mail? Change your Verizon landline voice mail greeting when you set up the mailbox, so your callers are certain they've reached the person they wanted to speak with.

Change Recorded Name

Dial your voice mail access number and enter your passcode.

Press "4" to enter the personal options menu.

Press "2" to enter into your greetings menus.

Press "1" to change the name mentioned when your voice mail picks up. This will present a partially automated message that incorporates your name into it.

Press "2" to record your name after the tone.

Press "1" to set your recorded name.
Change Personal Greeting

Skip the default greeting with your recorded name and record an entirely personal greeting.

Complete Steps 1 through 4 in the previous section, and press "3" instead of "1" at Step 4 to enter into the personal greeting menu.

Press "2" to record your personal greeting, followed by "1" to set it.
