Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- White stretchy lace (1 to 2 yards)
- Ribbon (Nice and Narrow), any color(s) you like
- Tiny, already made, white ribbons with pearl in center. You can use whatever you want for the center of the headband mind you.
- Red, Black and White thread
- Needle
- Hot Glue Gun
Homemade Stretchy Baby Headbands
Step1
Place stretchy ribbon around your babies head for measure. Remove ribbon, cut where it will be sewn into a headband.
Step2
Three loops of two ribbon colors together
Now, take both colors of ribbon you want to use, loop together, without cutting from spool. Do at least three to four loops.
Step3
After loops are the length you want, cut from spool and sew ribbon together in the middle. Do not use hot glue yet.
Step4
With ribbons sewn together, place over headband where it was sewn together and using a long and thick sewing needle, sew onto headband.
Step5
Once sewn onto white headband, cut about an inch of ribbon, color of your choosing, wrap around ribbon, where it was sewn onto headband. Now, use hot glue gun to make sure it is secure.
Step6
Headband made for Twins A and B by Mommy, Me
Finally, using hot glue gun, place little white ribbon in middle of headband ribbon to complete the look. When headband is completed, you can twist each piece of ribbon like I did for effect.
