It's easy to end up with a poor blooming season from freshly transplanted daylily transplants (from divisions). But it's even easier to make sure you get a wonderful blooming season! Follow these easy instructions for a great show in your garden this year.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Daylily Crowns
  • Beer
  • Liquid dish soap
  • ammonia
  • fish fertilizer
  • peroxide
  • instant tea
  • water

Step1
When dividing daylily crowns, it is vital that you replant the freshly pulled crowns as soon as possible. Do not allow them to sit. Have your new placement area ready before you begin digging up the crowded crowns.
Step2
Mix the following ingredients:

1/2 can of beer
2 TBS of liquid dish soap
2 TBS of ammonia
2 TBS of fish fertilizer
1 TBS of hydrogen peroxide
1/4 tsp of instant tea granules
2 gallons of warm water
Step3
Place 2 cups of this mixture into each new daylily hole.
Step4
Mix in some peat moss with your soil when placing in your freshly separated daylilies.
