Things You'll Need:
- Computer
- Windows Operating System
-
Step 1
This is very simple to do and yet most people don't know this.
-
Step 2
If you need to lock your computer in a hurry(for whatever reason lol) First hold the windows button on the keyboard.
-
Step 3
While holding the Windows button tap "l" on the keyboard. This automatically locks your keyboard.
-
Step 4
Enjoy! You can also create a shortcut and put it on your start menu by:
-
Step 5
Right click your desktop and then go to "new" then click "shortcut"
-
Step 6
Type "rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation" into the input box and then click "next"
-
Step 7
Now chose a name, I suggest "LOCK" then click finish and you have your shortcut on your desktop and now you can move it wherever you want and just click it when you need to lock your computer.

on 3/10/2008 jimdris, locking a computer causes it to display the login screen. All you have to is enter your login information again.
