This step by step instruction will help you hear your GPS and a multitude of devices through your car stereo speakers.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • an electronic device that needs amplification
  • a cassette adaptor or FM modulator (both are readily available any major retail outlet)
  1. Step 1

Determine if your car has cassette capability or CD player

  2. Step 2

purchase appropriate device - if car has cassette player you can use cassette adaptor. If car does not have a cassette player, then you purchase a FM modulator.

  3. Step 3

Plug the appropriate device into your Nextar GPS (or other electronic device you may have) If it is a cassette adaptor, insert it into your cassette player and turn the volume up and listen to the device. If it is the FM modulator, plug it into the electronic device, turn the FM modulator on (make sure it has batteries) and tune it to a radio station where a radio signal is not present and tune your radio to the same channel that is on the FM modulator. (it's usually a low channel)

Tips & Warnings
  • Use the up and down arrow keys on your car stereo to tune in a station with no broadcast (if you use the scan or search it will find a broadcast station)
  • Don't do this while driving your car!!
