Don’t you hate it when you have a party or go to a party & people have pictures of you & you have pictures of them? Don’t you wish you all could have the same pictures? Well now you can. Just follow these simple steps before you throw your party or go to one & if you don’t plan ahead of time, don’t worry, it’ll still work.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • A digital camera (if possible)/ a camera
  • A computer (Internet-enabled, optional)
  • Phone numbers of those who are invited to party
  • DVD Burner
  • Blank DVD CD’s
  • A notebook or journal for your guests to sign leaving their phone number or email address so you can contact them to send them their CD Party Favor Gift
  • Fliers included in invitations letting guest know where to send you their party pictures of the night
  • About $10 to get your pictures printed on CD at Wal-Mart

Step1
Make sure you have space on your computer to fit the pictures on & have a separate file to save pictures to have them in one place. This makes it easier & more organized.
Step2
If you are throwing a party, make sure to include a flyer inside the invitations letting your guests know what email address or Post Office box to send pictures to.
Step3
As guests arrive, remind them what you are doing & have them sign your guest book so you know how many CD’s to print or have printed
Step4
When party is all done & if at least some of your guests are up to it, have them upload their pictures to your computer in the special file before they leave. Once you have gotten all or at least most of the pictures that will be included in the CD Album, you can either use your DVD Maker (included in Windows Vista) to make your own Picture Slide & you can even add music & edit it anyway you like, depending on your experience with this type of program.
Step5
Make sure to print one CD & check it out on your DVD player to make sure it comes out good & that it plays. Once the CD checks out & you are satisfied with your work, start burning your CD Party Favors for each of the guests that contributed to this project.
Step6
When you are done, you can call them to either pick it up or set up a time to drop it off to them or even mail it out. Your guests will be very satisfied with this & don’t be surprised when you get those phone calls complimenting you on your gift. This is sure to get you more guests when you throw another party, guaranteed

Tips & Warnings

  • When putting your pictures in order, try & put them in order from the time they were taken, if some don’t have the time then put them in order as best as they look.
  • When sending out your CD Party Favors, send them a thank you note for helping you make this project possible & more enjoyable.
  • Add music & text to your slideshow, this makes it more interesting & funny when you are able to add subtitles to your pictures.
  • Take pictures of all your guests as they walk in so that you have something to put in the beginning of your Album
  • If you don't have a DVD burner, you can take your saved pictures on your memory card & take it to Wal-Mart & they can print out however many you need.
  • If you have Internet, you can simply send your pictures online to Wal-Mart instead of having to drive over.
  • Be nice, don’t use something that would be degrading to someone else, especially if they have asked you in advance not to include a certain picture.
  • Share the spotlight, don’t make it all about you, people want to see pictures of themselves as well.
