Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- 1/3 cup fresh butter
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 4 tbsp. milk
- 1/2 cup self-rising flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. hazelnut liquer
- 6 tbsp. Nutella
- 1/4 cup chopped hazelnuts
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 8-inch Springform pan
Step1
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.
Step2
Prepare the cake batter. Cream the butter and powdered sugar together in medium bowl. Add white sugar, eggs, flour, baking powder, and spices and combine thoroughly.
Step3
Add the milk. Stir in the milk and liquers carefully, and mix together until combined.
Step4
Mix with electric mixer. Mix all ingredients on medium speed for 2-3 minutes until light and fluffy. Batter should have grown in volume.
Step5
Prepare cake pan. Grease the cake pan, and pour half the batter into it.
Step6
Add Nutella. Drop spoonfuls of Nutella in small servings across the batter. Sprinkle with chopped hazelnuts and brown sugar.
Step7
Bake for at least 60 minutes until cake rises and turns a light brown color.
Step8
Cool in pan for at least ten minutes. Then turn it out onto wire rack.
