Things You'll Need:
- Artichokes
- Rosemary
- Lemon
- Sea Salt
- Chicory
- Tumeric
-
Step 1
Artichokes have a chemical, cyranin, that helps increase the liver's production of bile and strengthens our bile ducts. Because artichokes can break up and mobilize fat stored in our liver, it's useful as a natural liver detox and for lowering cholesterol.
-
Step 2
Rosemary has active compounds that help stimulate the liver. There are two healthy acids in Rosemary that helps reduce inflammation that can lead to liver damage.
-
Step 3
Turmeric is known as a spicy curry. The yellowish oil that comes from Turmeric helps reduce any build-up of toxins in the body, including the liver. Turmeric can be added to rice, beans, vegetables, chicken and fish. Turmeric can also be added to fruit juice if you prefer to drink with it instead of cooking with this spice.
-
Step 4
Chicory is traditionally used as a coffee substitute, but in seed or root form can be used as a mild laxative and diuretic that can take the load off an overburdened liver.
-
Step 5
Lemon with a little Sea Salt will help clean a colon, just do not use too much with the mixture of Chicory or you will have diarrhea.
-
Step 6
