Step 1
Skunks will only squirt their infamous perfume when very angry or frightened, but they always give warning.

A skunk will stamp both front feet at you as their first warning that you are in danger of being fumed.

Step 3
The animal will then growl a little as a second warning and then lift it's tail. They will always aim for the eyes and they can shoot 15 to 20 feet with very accurate aim.

Step 4
Too late to run, the skunk will whirl around and present it's guns! The scent glads are located on each side of the anus, just under the tail.

on 4/7/2009 Good article, although I know someone who stopped a skunk from spraying by picking it up. I have personally seen it work.
