1. Examine the health of both teams. If one team suffered injuries, especially in the conference championship game, it could significantly hurt that team’s chances of winning the Super Bowl.
2. Know the coaches on both Super Bowl teams. Know how the coaches match up against one another and how their styles contrast with one another. Coaches often are the determining factor in a Super Bowl.
3. Look at the previous opponents of both Super Bowl teams. If one of the teams had a very easy schedule in the regular season and then only faced one tough opponent in the playoffs, you may want to think twice about picking that team.
4. Examine the rosters on both of the Super Bowl teams and look for weaknesses. If team A has a great pass offense and team B has a weak pass defense, for example, that’s something to consider before picking the Super Bowl winner.
