How to Summon the Crybaby Bridge Ghost

In the 1920's there was an accident on the one-lane bridge on Teaberry Lane in Vincennes, Indiana. The head-on collision forced one of the vehicles into the rain swollen creek below the bridge. In that car was a mother and her child. The mother managed to escape the vehicle, but she was not able to find her baby. The legend says that, to this day, she still wanders the area looking for her lost child.

Instructions

1. Locate Vincennes, Indiana and drive there. Once there, find Hillcrest Road which runs behind The Executive Inn. As you approach the top of Hillcrest Road, there is a road off to the left named Teaberry Lane.

2. Drive down Teaberry Lane to the one-lane bridge and drive onto the bridge.

3. Park on the bridge and just sit in your car, or park on the bridge, get out of the car and sit on the side of the bridge with your legs dangling over the water below.

4. The legend says if you are sitting on the edge of the bridge you will soon hear the mother walking around and crying out for her baby. If you have remained in your car, you will soon hear the mother scratching on your car and car windows looking for her baby inside.

• The ideal situation is during the evening when there is a light drizzle and a bit of fog.
• I make no claims that this actually works, but it is a popular legend in the area.
• The bridge is there, but it is not the same bridge on which the accident occurred. It is, however, still one lane.
