Making your own postcards can be a fun and creative way to share photos with family members and friends. As long as you have a computer, it can be easy as well!
Photo editor and project maker (Photoshop, Photo Suite, Corel, Microsoft Works)
Card stock or blank postcards
Digital pictures or scanned pictures and/or clipart
Step1
Create a project in your photo editor or project maker that is 6 by 4 inches. This will be your postcard.
Step2
Next, add your photo. You can layer your photo with clipart or greeting text to add flair to your postcard.
Step3
How the back of your postcard can look
When you are done with the look of the front side of your postcard, start working on the back where you will put the address, message and stamp. Create another project that is 6 by 4 inches. On this project, simply make a line down the middle of the card and add your message and the address.
Step4
To print the card on both sides, set your printer to "print both sides." On this setting, your printer will prompt you on how to feed the card back through to print the other side. Or, if you want you can just print the card on both sides without the help of your printer if you find that less confusing.
Tips & Warnings
You can use any kind of image for your postcard, from family photos to children's drawings.
