Things You'll Need:
- Christmas Cards
- String, ribbon, or yarn
- Thumb Tacks
- Bulletin Board
- Tape
-
Step 1
An easy way to display them is by displaying them on a bulletin board. You can make the bulletin board look more festive by painting it in Christmas colors. Let the paint dry. Hang in a great location, where everyone can see it. Then, using red or green thumbtacks, begin tacking up each card to the board.
-
Step 2
Another festive idea is the popular ribbon hanging idea. Use a ribbon (red or green is the two perfect shades) and cut the length of a wall, allowing extra length for a bit of give. Wrap the ends of the ribbon around a thumb tack and hang from each end of the wall. As you receive each card, carefully hang onto the ribbon with tape. Allow a bit of room between cards. If you receive a lot of cards and your wall is tall enough, you can string another ribbon underneath the first one and begin hanging cards onto it too. If you don’t have any ribbon, yarn will also work.
-
Step 3
Buy a pretty and festive wreath. Place it in a place of honor (possibly over a fireplace mantle). Keep the decorations on the wreath simple or use no decorations at all. Place cards in the wreath as you receive them. You may have to secure the ones on the side with some invisible tape.
-
Step 4
Do you have a large buffet or a fireplace mantel with a fireplace you don’t plan on lighting? You could use the string, ribbon or yarn idea on this as well. To secure the ribbon on the sides, you will need to attach it to a weight. A Christmas knick-knack on each side would be a perfect choice for this. You can secure the card from the ribbon with tape or use miniature clips (if it doesn’t make the string too heavy).
-
Step 5
If you receive some special Christmas cards that also doubles as photographs, you may want to place these in some photograph frames, attach some small magnet to the back of them (using glue) and place on the refrigerator. You know Christmas doesn’t have to stop with the living room.

on 7/29/2008 I like to put all the Christmas letters in a basket on the coffee table. The colorful cards stand open on table tops in the dining room and living room. Good ideas here.
