With cold and flu season in full swing, getting a proper diagnosis is imperative. The symptom's of a cold and flu are very similar, but there are a few differences. Let's take a look....
1. Although fevers are common in both cold and flu, your fever will generally be higher with the flu. Usually with the flu, your fever will hover around 100-102F for a few days.

2. Being sick can zap the energy right out of you but extreme is exhaustion is typical of the flu. This is commonly one of your first symptoms.

3. A sore throat is usually one of the first symptom's of a cold. Although you can have a sore throat with the flu, it is not as common.

4. Headache is not generally a symptom of a cold, but it can be persistent with the flu.

5. General pains are common with cold, severe aches and pains are a trademark symptom of the flu.
