The Martin Luther King Jr. Widow and Children April 4th,1968, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr was assassinated standing on the balcony of his second floor Motel room at the Lorraine Motel, Memphis. He died later at St. Joseph Hospital from a gunshot wound to the neck.

The King center,Atlanta,Ga Dr King's wife: Coretta Scott King established the King center in 1968.
