From Quick Guide: Jell-O Recipes
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 large package of strawberry Jello
  • Scissors
  • Utensils
  • 1 package fresh or frozen strawberries
  • 1 package of shortcakes (usually 2 to a package)
  • 2 small packages of instant vanilla pudding (made with 1 less cup of milk than package requires)
  • 1/2 container of cool whip (or equivalent)
  • Transparent glass serving bowl
  • Serving Spoon
  • Milk
  • Water
  • Scissors
  1. Step 1

Cut open Jello package. Make Jello as package directs, pouring and stirring immediately into your transparent glass serving bowl. Keep the bowl as neat as possible.

  2. Step 2

Place strawberries and shortcake inside of Jello and push down with a spoon. They may rise to the top. Place in the refrigerator for at least 3 1/2 hours and allow the Jello to become firm.

  3. Step 3

Prepare vanilla instant pudding (minus one cup of milk) and place on top of firm Jell-O.

  4. Step 4

Spread whipped topping with a utensil, such as a spoon or spatula over the pudding layer carefully.

  5. Step 5

Slice strawberries by hand or in a food processor. Garnish with the strawberries and serve.

  6. Step 6

Return to refrigerator. Keeps approximately one week if you have leftovers. Makes for a healthy choice. Will keep your weight in check and your taste buds happy.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make this in a transparent glass bowl.
  • For a more healthy alternative: use Lite Whipped topping, sugar free Jell-O and pudding mixes.
  • Use caution with boiling water when preparing the Jello.
