How to Remove Pen Ink Stains from Clothing

  1. Step 1

Apply hair spray to the stained area. Saturate the stain thoroughly, then blot any excess liquid. Do not rub the area as it may cause the ink to penetrate the fibers in the clothing fabric.

  2. Step 2

After the initial application has dried, reapply the area with hair spray again and blot any excess fluid.

  3. Step 3

Wash the garment as directed by its label.

Tips & Warnings
  • If the stain remains visible after laundering, do not place the garment in the dryer.
  • Repeat Steps 1 and 2 while the garment is wet and then launder the garment again.
