You can throw a dessert together quickly and easily even if you don't have much on hand. All it takes is a little imagination, patience and some tall glasses. Stemmed ones are the prettiest.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Tall, stemmed glasses
  • Long-handled iced tea spoons
  • Various ingredients to layer in the glasses for dessert, such as:
  • Ice cream, pudding, jello, whipped topping, marshmallow cream, fruit, nuts, crumbled cookies and candy sprinkles
  1. Step 1

Select the combination of ingredients that appeals to you most. One example could be raspberry sherbet, fresh raspberries, vanilla pudding or whipped topping. Prepare ingredients for layering in the tall glasses.

  2. Step 2

Layer the ingredients carefully in the glasses, being careful not to smear the sides of the glasses as you go. Place light weight ingredients such as fruit in the middle or on the top. Start the layering process with heavier foods like ice cream and pudding on the bottom.

  3. Step 3

Top with a dollop of whipped cream or sprinkles of cookie crumbs, spices such as cinnamon or nutmeg, nuts or chopped fruit or candies.

  4. Step 4

Enjoy being as creative as you like with whatever you have in the house.
