Choose three different record labels where you'd like to intern. Make sure these are labels where you will enjoy working. If you don't like rock music, it doesn't make sense to work at a label that has a lot of rock and roll artists signed to it. However, it will increase your chances if you are open to interning at a variety of labels. That way you can choose more than three labels to reach out to.
