If eyes are the windows to one's soul, then pants are the window to one's...No matter how you fill in the blank, never fail to make a good first impression by keeping your pants neatly pressed as follows.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

Step1
If the pants have cuffs, unfold them and remove any loose dirt.
Step2
Pull out the pockets.
Step3
Lay the pants on the ironing board, zipper side facing up.
Step4
Iron the zipper fold first.
Step5
Iron the left side of the pants from the waistband to the knees. Repeat on the right side.
Step6
Lay the leg seams together and fold the pants the long way. Fold back the top leg. Iron the inside of the lower leg, then turn and iron the outside.
Step7
Repeat with the other leg.
Step8
Iron the two legs--that is, all four sides--together at one time.
Step9
If the pants are made of wool or silk, iron them inside out. Lift and lower the iron instead of using a back-and-forth movement. Place a paper bag or tissue paper under folds or seams to prevent imprinting inside detail.
Step10
If the pants contain sequins, beads or metallic fabric, lay them on a towel to create a softer surface, and iron on a low setting.
Step11
If the pants are made of velvet, use a steamer. If you don't have a steamer or steaming iron, hang the pants in the bathroom while a hot shower runs.
