Have your furnace filled to its normal capacity of NO. 2 heating oil less 5 gallons.

Add 5 gallons of bio diesel fuel to your furnace. Making a B2 blend or 2 percent bio diesel and 98 percent heating oil.

Increase this ration through out the heating season until a B20 blend is reached.

Being careful to avoid the inside of your fuel tank and/or the fuel line getting coated with sludge. If this happens, it can cause a clogged fuel filter or burner head. Resulting in expensive repairs, defeating the savings from bio diesel fuel!

Tips & Warnings
Store Bio diesel fuel inside or in an underground tank.
Bio diesel's "pour point" or temperature it will gel at is only a few degrees higher 11 degrees below zero, which is the pour point for NO. 2 heating oil.
Bio diesel can degrade rubber seals on the burner pump of your fuel tank.
