In the South, everything is deep fried, and deep-frying Oreos takes the cookie to a whole new level. Follow these steps to make the warm, gooey concoction.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A package of Oreos
  • A deep-fryer
  • Two cups of pancake mix
  • Two eggs
  • A cup and a half of milk
  • Powdered sugar
  • Vegetable oil
  • A bowl
  • A spoon
  • A spatula

    How to Deep-Fry Oreos

  1. Step 1

    Fill your deep-fryer with vegetable oil. Heat the oil to 375 degrees F.

  2. Step 2

    Mix the pancake mix, eggs, milk and three teaspoons of vegetable oil in a bowl.

  3. Step 3

    Dip the cookies into the batter you just created, completely covering them.

  4. Step 4

    Drop the battered-covered cookies into the deep-fryer.

  5. Step 5

    Use a spatula to take the cookies out of the deep-fryer once the batter turns golden brown.

  6. Step 6

    Sprinkle powdered sugar onto the cookies and allow to cool.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you don't have a deep-fryer, you can boil oil in a pan.
  • Watch out for spattering oil.
