How to Dye Your Hair

Many women prefer going to the salon to get their hair colored to just be in of the safe side and not experience 'hair color disaster.' Actually dyeing your hair on your own is quiet easy to do.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Bottle of hair dye
  • Towel
  • 2 plastic gloves
  1. Step 1

    Before using the dye, make sure to part the hair in four ways so it is easy to color the roots.

  2. Step 2

    Use plastic gloves to protect your hands from the dye smearing on it.

  3. Step 3

    Pour the liquid dye in the developer and shake it well for at least 15-20 seconds.

  4. Step 4

    Apply the dye to your hair starting from the front and go to the back of the head.

Tips & Warnings
  • Read instructions included in the hair dye kit for safer results.
  • If you use a hair relaxer, wait at least two weeks to apply hair dye on your hair. It's best to use semipermanent dye to prevent hair damage.
  • Most hair dyes has permanent, semipermanent and temporary. Choose carefully want you want or else you could be stuck with a hair color that you are not considering to have for a long period time.
  • Never color your hair more than you should. Try to stretch out each dye at least two-four month. Reapplying it more frequent than you should can cause hair loss or breakage hair strands.
  • Never dye your eyebrows. it's not only harmful to your eyes but can cause blindness.
  • Do not wash your hair prior to the hair coloring. Your scalp is more prone to irritation.
