4. Decorate your Christmas tree with berries. You can choose which type of berry to decorate with, depending on which color you want in your tree. Once again, when you take your Christmas tree down, you can either eat the berries or simply place them outside.
5. Use ripped-up pieces of paper instead of flocking. Sure, this still creates unnecessary trash. It is, however, a better overall alternative than flocking from a can.
6. Put a nonelectric tree topper on your tree. Instead of using a star that lights up, put an angel on top of your tree. The tree will still look beautiful but will not use electricity.
