If you are trying to cut back on your calories then you should probably cut back on your portions and number of servings. This doesn't have to leave you feeling empty and grouchy. Just borrow some of these tips I have found helpful over the years.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
First, drink more water. Water fills you up, it's good for you and it has no calories.
Step2
Next, if you must eat, eat more fruits and vegetables. They are good for you and take up more space in your stomach. Next time you load your plate, make sure it is at least half full with vegetables or fruit.
Step3
Always try to eat whole wheat breads and pastas. They have tons of fiber, which takes up more room in your stomach than foods that don't. Make sure to check the labels, though. At least three grams of fiber is what a whole wheat bread should contain per slice.

Tips & Warnings

  • Remember, out of sight, out of mind. Keep food in the kitchen and away from your desk or TV.
  • Don't go overboard. You can make yourself sick by eating too little.
  • Consult your doctor before going on any kind of diet.
