Things You'll Need:
- either vaseline, petroleum jelly, clear lip gloss,regular chap stick or flavored chap stick any of those will work
- any color eye shadow that you think would make a pretty lip gloss!

Step 1
take a small amount of your favorite color eye shadow that you think would make a cute lip gloss and tap it into a small container. depending on how much you are planning on making.

Step 2
take petroleum jelly and a q-tip or your finger and add a small amount to the eye shadow and stir it around until its blended. ~OR~ you can apply the eye shadow directly onto your lips and put petroleum jelly or vaseline directly over it, or if you want something a little more glossy use a clear lip gloss. flavored or regular chap stick works good too!

Step 3
if you have any left over put in a container and cover, or use and old lip balm container or makeup container that looks like it would work well and save for next time, do this anytime you want have a pale pink eye shadow but no gloss to match! or you have a beige shirt and you want a more beige/natural lip color to match and you have extra eye shadow around! this would be perfect

on 6/29/2009 It's a fun method! Vaseline is a a great pure petrolatum product. It is well-known in the medical field that the topical application of petrolatum heals reduce inflammation and heal skin, making it perfect for your lips.
Tinting gloss in just seconds is a fun way to change up your makeup. Mineral mica pigments made especially for that purpose are some of my favorite products to use. 5*

on 6/29/2009 Great idea! I'm glad you thought of it! If you don't mind a suggestion, rather than Vasoline (petroleum-based product), use a natural lip gloss (like Burt's Bee's) or something similar. I prefer to use only natural products on my skin. I don't think anyone ever died of a Vaseline overdose, though, so I'm sure it's fine for most people :-)
