Making your baby's food is quite easy...I'll show you how.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

Step1
1. Take your choice of vegetable (age appropriate) and wash, peel, de-seed, etc.
Step2
2.Place your veggies in a pot with just enough water to cover them.
Step3
3. Boil on low until veggies are nice and tender. Boiling too long will strip them of nutrients so keep your eye on them.
Step4
4. Drain (reserve the water) and add veggies to either a food processor or a 'baby food maker' and puree.
Step5
5. Add just enough of your reserved water to veggie puree to get desired consistency. Aim for thin and smooth.
Step6
6. Pour your final product in an ice tray, cover with plastic wrap, and freeze. One cube equals one ounce! When you are ready just dethaw and serve.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can also store in resealable bags
  • Do not reserve water from carrots until your baby is over seven months old-they are too high in nitrates!
  • Do not use foil to cover your ice tray as small bits of the metal could flake off in food!
  • Check with your baby's pediatrician before starting your baby on solids.
