Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Fill out the Federal Post Card Application (FPCA). When it asks for your "Voter Residence" fill in your most recent Iowa address.

  2. Step 2

    Send the FPCA to your county auditor by email, fax or mail. Visit the absentee voting link below for the most current fax, mail and email addresses, or to find your county auditor.

  3. Step 3

    You will receive a ballot either by fax, email or mail. Fill it out.

  4. Step 4

    Return the ballot to your county auditor by fax, email, or mail using the pre-addressed envelope sent to you with the ballot.

  • It is a felony to falsify any information on your absentee ballot request or to vote more than once.
