Giving wedding guests advanced notice about your big day is important, especially if the wedding falls on or near a holiday. If there are guests traveling from out of town, save the date cards can give them more time to plan for the trip. A unique and affordable way to keep guests informed is by using a photo booth. Read on to learn how to use a photo booth for save the date cards.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Photo booth
  • Two sheets of 8.5”x11” paper
  • Marker
  • Quarters
  1. Step 1

Cut two sheets of standard-sized printer paper in half the long way. The strips will measure approximately 4.25”x11”.

  2. Step 2

On the first strip of paper write the word “Save” using the marker. On the second piece of paper write “the.” On the third strip of paper write “Date” and on the last sheet write the date of your wedding. For example, if your wedding is on September 2, 2008, write “9-2-08.” Use large and clear writing.

  3. Step 3

Find a photo booth. There may be one at the local mall or in an arcade.

  4. Step 4

Take your fiancé and the strips of paper to the photo booth. Make sure to take plenty of quarters.

  5. Step 5

Choreograph the photo shoot. Each of you should hold two strips of paper and run through poses for each shot.

  6. Step 6

Plug the booth with quarters and snuggle up inside with your spouse-to-be. Be patient because it may take a few rounds of pictures to get a perfect set.

  7. Step 7

Take your sheet of photos to a local copy store. Have the pictures printed on card stock and cut.

  8. Step 8

Send a save the date card to each guest.

Tips & Warnings
  • Sign the back of each save the date-card with a personalized note telling guests you hope to see them there.
  • Sticking a small magnet to the back of each save the date card will make it easy for guests to hang the reminder on the fridge.
  • Have the copy store show you prints in color and in black and white so you can choose the one that looks best.
