Myspace.com is one of the most popular social networking sites. People of all ages have active myspace pages. It has also become a good medium for small business owners to network with people from all over the world. Promoting yourself or your business on myspace is a great way to enhance your marketing and public relations strategy.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Create your myspace profile. Make sure to keep it as clean and professional as possible. Too many pictures, music or video can be distracting and make your page load slowly. Make your page expressive but easy to read.

  2. Step 2

Build your friends list. The easiest way is to start with friends and family. Lots of people have myspace pages so it should be easy to find others you know. Send them a friend request and once they add you to their friend lists, go through their pages and add any mutual friends that they may have.

  3. Step 3

Post comments on people’s pages. A great way to indirectly build your friends list and promote your business is by posting comments on other people’s pages.

  4. Step 4

Send out bulletins. As your friends list grows, you can continue following the above steps, but you can also send out bulletins promoting yourself or your business.

  5. Step 5

Start writing in your blog. Write a few interesting blogs and then start sending out invites and bulletins for people to check out and join your blog.

  6. Step 6

Include your myspace page in your email signature. Whenever you send out an email, you will be promoting your myspace page and building your friends list.

Tips & Warnings
  • Do not spam people on myspace. Sending out mass myspace messages is spam and will get your profile deleted.
  • Do not use those friend generators either. They are not allowed on myspace and are another good way to get your profile deleted.
