Step 1
Consult your transit map to find the nearest eL station near you. The eL is what the train system is called in Chicago.

Step 2
Because most tourists and business travelers stay in the Loop, we'll assume you're coming from there. The Loop is the downtown area of Chicago. Go to the closest eL station.

Step 3
If you don't already have a transit pass, purchase one at the station. It costs only $2 for a one-way trip on the train.

Step 4
If you are taking the Red, Brown, Orange or Green lines, ride them until you get to the Clark/Lake stop. Here you can transfer to the Blue line. Otherwise, just take the Blue line.

Step 5
Once you get to the Blue line station at Clark/Lake, look for signs that say O'Hare. You will want to be on that side of the platform.

Step 6
When the next train comes, get on board.
