How to Make a Homemade Veggie Burger

This is a basic recipe to make a vegetarian burger. You can add cheese, herbs, chopped bell peppers or sauted mushrooms over the burger.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 package (12 ounces) frozen pre-browned vegetable protien crumbles, thawed.
  • 2 eggs, lighly beaten
  • 1/4 cup dry breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finly chopped onion
  • Vegetable cooking spray
  • 6 whole wheat hamburger buns, toasted
  1. Step 1

    Combine vegetable protien crumbles, eggs, breadcrumbs and onion.

  2. Step 2

    Shape mixture into 6 burgers.

  3. Step 3

    Spray large skillet with cooking spray. Heat over medium heat until hot. Cook burgers until browned, about 5 minutes on each side. Serve with buns.

  • Makes 6 servings.
