Friends, this cocktail is a must for the bourbon lovers out there. While the drink has been lost to time, relegated to the dusty corners and dive bars of the imagination by today's "Give Me Another Grey Goose & Vodka" ya-ya culture, the Horse's Neck should be brought back out into the world at-large, where its smooth, sophisticated textures and tastes can be appreciated by the more philosophical members of today's drinking generation. Oh, and it's easy to make.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Add ice to your collins glass (a common rocks glass will do fine, though), along with 2 ounces of bourbon and 2 to 3 dashes of Angostura bitters.

  2. Step 2

Fill the glass with ginger ale

  3. Step 3

Drop the spiral lemon peel into the glass and enjoy one of mankind's finest concoctions.

Tips & Warnings
  • This really is one of the all-time great drinks, and should you find yourself out at a bar and in need of one, you should probably just ask the bartender for a bourbon and ginger ale with a dash of bitters. He or she will probably will not know this drink as a "Horse's Neck."
