How to Make Body Glitter

Use body glitter sparingly.

For a night out on the town or some dress-up fun, body glitter adds sparkle to your look. A little glitter goes a long way, so apply a little at a time or you may end up looking like a Christmas tree. Make your own body glitter with just a few ingredients.

Things You'll Need

• Pure aloe vera gel
• Fine glitter
• Essential oils, optional
• Empty jar

Instructions

1. Thoroughly clean and dry a small jar with an airtight lid.

2. Put 4 tablespoons of aloe vera gel in the jar.

3. Add 1 teaspoon of fine glitter to the gel and mix well.

4. If you want to add a scent to the body glitter, add 1 or 2 drops of essential oil to the jar and mix thoroughly.

5. Put the lid tightly on the jar and keep for as long as three months.

Tips & Warnings

• Body glitter washes off with soap and water

• Do not apply body glitter near the eyes.

• Test body glitter on a small area if you are not sure of an allergic reaction to essential oils.
