Visit the Lake Tahoe Concierge website to find out this year's schedule for The Great Gatsby Festival at the Tallac Historic Site in Lake Tahoe. It usually occurs in the middle of August. Check which events will be taking place.

Drive to either Tallac, the Baldwin Estates or Camp Richardson, all a short walk or a bike ride to the festival.

Browse the various vintage stands for any jewelery, knickknacks, shoes, clothing or memorabilia. The prices at the festival are generally significantly less than you would find at other vintage stores.

Take in the musical acts and try to get in the mindset of the Gatsby era.

Walk through the various Tallac and Baldwin estates, seeing what life was like at events like tea time, billiard tournaments or boating outings.

Tour the photograph exhibit to appreciate Tallac throughout the years, from the time of Gatsby until now. Take note of any significant sites you have seen on your Tahoe vacation and see how they have changed.

Visit the old and classic car exhibit and examine the vintage vehicles with their license plates, distinctive horns and other features.

Purchase the current Great Gatsby Festival poster, which boasts distinctive artwork each year. Ask the artist, Darcie Park, to sign it.

Engage in a game of croquet on the back lawn. It's the ultimate Gatsby game.
