In this article you'll learn how to make a terrific 7-Up cake, perfect as a Birthday cake, Holiday dessert cake, or just for when you are feeling like a cake. Yum. If you like yellow cake, vanilla pudding, pineapple, and coconut, you'll love this recipe! Enjoy.

Things You'll Need:

  • FOR THE 7 UP CAKE
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 small box instant vanilla pudding
  • 4 eggs
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 can (10 oz.) 7up
  • 9x13 cake pan
  • small amount of Crisco or other cooking grease
  • a dash of flour
  • FOR THE CAKE TOPPING
  • 1 can crushed pineapple (1.5 cups)
  • 1.5 cups coconut
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1.5 cups sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • medium saucepan
  1. Step 1

    The first thing you need to do is mix all the cake ingredients (yellow cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, veg oil, and 7-Up)in a bowl very well.

  2. Step 2

    Lightly grease and sprinkle flour into your 9x13 cake pan.

  3. Step 3

    Pour the mixed cake ingredients into your greased and floured pan.

  4. Step 4

    Bake the cake at 325 degrees for 35-40 minutes. While the cake is cooking prepare the cake topping.

  5. Step 5

    TOPPING > Combine topping ingredients into a sauce pan & cook on medium heat while stirring until well mixed and sugar and butter are dissolved, about 5 minutes.

  6. Step 6

    Let the 7-up cake cool.

  7. Step 7

    Pour the topping all over cooled cake, serve and enjoy!
