Letter writing must brings focus to its reader. It doesn't matter whether it is professional or personal, find out several ways to write a effective letter to your subject(s).

  1. Step 1

    Write clearly and choose words that express the point you are trying to get across. Make sure your reader can comprehend exactly you're referring about. Also use simple familiar words unless you are a doctor or lawyer.

  2. Step 2

    Write in a readable style. Command the attention of the reader being direct, emphasizing important points. Also it's not good to use monotonous sentences because it does not encourage the reader to read any further and they will lose interest.

  3. Step 3

    Give your sentences spaces. Putting paragraphs between group so sentences makes the letter not only more easier to read but give a pleasing appearance that make your ideas more accessible. Proper paragraphing should draw certain points in the letter; unless you are changing the subject, short paragraphs for points your try to emphasize the most.

  • End it with 'see you later' or 'goodbye' if personal or end it with a signature or 'thank you' for business.
