How to Create a URL Hyperlink Using Adobe InDesign
Adobe InDesign allows you to create high-quality PDF documents for use on the computer. You might want to create hyperlinks within the document to help your reader launch a new website from your document, for example, as a way of offering sources or references to an outside site. You can also create a link to a specific page in the document, which allows you to create a table of contents or quickly reference a certain page.

Click the "View" menu, then click "Extras" and "Show Hyperlinks" to open the hyperlink panel.

Click the object or highlight the text you would like to use as the anchor for the hyperlink.

Type the URL to the Web page in the "URL" text box.

Click "New Hyperlink" and select "URL" from the "Link To" menu.

Click "OK" to create the link to an outside website within the document.

Select "Page" from the "Link To" menu.

Select the name of the document you want to link to in the "Documents" section. This section will detect all InDesign documents you currently have open on the computer.

Type the page you want to link to in the "Page" section, then select "Fixed" for the "Zoom Setting."
