Christmas cookies are a delight during the holidays.

Throwing a Christmas cookie baking party is a great way to start off the holiday season. Gather a group of your friends about a week before Christmas and have a bake-off extravaganza. This is a time to catch up with old friends as you bake treats for the big day.

From Quick Guide: Christmas Cookies
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Cookie baking supplies
  • 3 mixers
  • 4 large bowls
  • 4 small bowls
  • 3 rolls of aluminum foil
  • 8 cookie sheets
  • Christmas CDs
  • Eggnog
  • Red and green head scarves
  • 20 freezer-size plastic bags
  1. Step 1

Plan a date and time for your cookie party that is convenient for you and your friends.

  2. Step 2

Plan what type of cookies you want to make. Chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, sugar and peanut butter are very popular flavors.

  3. Step 3

Assign baking supplies to each friend. For example, give one person baking supplies for chocolate chip cookies, and give another baking supplies for oatmeal raisin cookies.

  4. Step 4

On the day of the party, turn on your Christmas songs CD and pour your eggnog.

  5. Step 5

Split up your friends into cookie baking groups. Each group will be responsible for making a type of cookie.

  6. Step 6

Have your friends wrap their hair up in the head scarves. You don’t want any hair in the cookies.

  7. Step 7

After the cookies have cooled, divide up the cookies into bags.
