How to Make a French Toast Scramble

Here’s a quick and tasty twist on traditional French toast. It cooks up like a big pancake and you can feed a lot of people with one recipe. Plus, everyone's food is ready at one time and it's hot when it gets to the table.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 10 slices of bread
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • Dash of cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • Confectioner’s sugar
  • Frying pan
  • Spatula
  • Syrup
  • Jam
  1. Step 1

    Crack eggs into mixing bowl and beat well.

  2. Step 2

    Beat in milk, vanilla and cinnamon.

  3. Step 3

    Tear bread into small pieces and stir into egg mixture. Let stand for 10 minutes.

  4. Step 4

    Heat 1 tbsp. butter on medium heat in frying pan until melted but not brown. Swirl to coat bottom and sides of pan.

  5. Step 5

    Pour the bread and egg mixture into the frying pan and let it cook until it's golden brown on the bottom.

  6. Step 6

    Flip the bread and egg mixture and the remainder of the butter to the pan (under the mixture) and continue cooking until the other side is golden brown.

  7. Step 7

    Put the French Toast Scramble on a plate and sprinkle with confectioner’s sugar. Serve with syrup or jam.
